Last week I had the pleasure of meeting the band Talking to Walls. They are a rock n' roll band from Connecticut, who licensed a photograph of mine to use on their newest CD release, We Were Not So Tall. The lead singer Brian Kelly and I started to email a bit about the cover image and decided to collaborate on a pdf lyric booklet fans could download if they bought the new CD direct.
Later Brian let me know they would be playing in Philadelphia and if I was free, it would be great to give me a copy of the CD in person. I was, as it turned out, so off I went to The Fire on Girard Ave. to meet the band.
All four guys in this band are great: nice, friendly, funny, talented, and above all else, they find joy in playing music. That always makes me happy. I decided to try my hand at shooting in that environment and really enjoyed it. I think I got some nice shots, too.
